Manifesto
The Colosseum was built for crowds. Fifty thousand people could enter through numbered arches, find a seat, and watch the contest with their own eyes. Nobody had to take anyone’s word for what happened on the sand.
On-chain markets promised the same thing and often delivered the opposite: launches won in the first block by whoever ran the fastest bot, fees hidden in a token’s code, liquidity that could walk away overnight, and admin keys that could change the rules mid-game. Colysium is built to be the arena that keeps the original promise. Everyone enters through the same gate, the rules are carved where all can read them, and the people who bring the crowd are the ones who get paid.
These are the principles every Colysium product is held to.
The rules are written in stone
Fees, splits, caps and limits live in contracts, not in a terms page. A rule that touches money is enforced by code anyone can read, and it applies to everyone the same way, the team included.
The gate opens for everyone at once
A fair start is designed in, not hoped for. New tokens open with a sniper tax that falls from 90% to zero over 5 seconds and a per-wallet cap of 1% of supply for the first 60 seconds. The tax goes to the Colysium treasury, never to the creator, so nobody gains by sniping their own launch.
Whoever brings the crowd shares the gate
Creators earn 0.5% of every trade on their token’s curve and keep earning after it graduates. Referrers earn on the real trading of the people they bring, paid in HYPE, never for sign-ups.
Power is published and bounded
Every admin power is listed in these docs with its limit. On mainnet, protocol changes pass through a 2-of-3 Safe and wait 24 hours in a timelock before they take effect, and the guardian can only pause. Liquidity placed at graduation is locked for good: there is no function that removes it.
The record is kept honestly
These docs hold only what is decided. A number appears here once it is final, and it changes here when it changes in the contracts. Plans and ideas stay off the record until they are real.
Rome’s arena stood for centuries because it was built in stone, not promises. Colysium is built the same way.
This record holds confirmed rules only. Contract addresses appear after deployment and verification.
