Referrals

A referral link connects a new trader to the person who brought them. The connection is recorded on-chain and pays the referrer a share of that trader’s fees, in HYPE.

How a referral is bound

• A wallet is bound to a referrer on its first trade that names one.
• The binding is permanent. It is never replaced, even if the wallet later opens someone else’s link.
• No self-referral. A wallet cannot refer itself.

Referrers are paid only for trading. Signing up earns nothing, so a referral is worth exactly as much as the activity it brings. Earnings collect in the fee vault and the referrer claims them in HYPE.

Points

Points reward using Colysium. They are counted off-chain from activity: the events Colysium’s contracts emit, plus actions in the app.

• There is no points contract. Colysium’s contracts emit complete records of every action and never call a points system, so points can never change what a contract does with your funds.
• Sniper tax does not earn points. Amounts paid as sniper tax are left out.
